MASHHAD The official in charge of physical education of Mashhad Municipality said, "On the basis of an agreement reached between Iran's Judo Federation and the judo authorities of Mashhad, the team of Municipality is to represent Iran in the contests of West Asia Judo Championships."

Hassan Norouzi told IRNA on Sunday, "The Asian competitions will be held from June 21-24 in Lebanon," adding that the Mashhad-based team consists of Mahmoud Miran, Ali Chamanpa, Gholamreza Sazegar, Behrouz Parhizgar, and Masoud Akhoundzadeh.

Khosro Dalir is the head coach of Mashhad Municipality and Amir Taqipour will accompany the squad as the head of the team, IRNA quoted Norouzi as saying.

The team of Mashhad Municipality ranked first in the competitions of Iran's Judo Clubs Championships held last year.
